TESTIMONIALS
"Deep gratitude to Swami Sitaramananda for the energy and consistency
of teaching. You are a force to be relied on as a true inspiration.
Your teachings pulled me back from the wide ocean of thoughts and
reunited me with what is true inside." Helen, August 2004

"Thank you for putting so much of your energy into the Meditation
Intensive. It was
great. So much information. So much concrete explanation. You distilled
your
years of experience and knowledge into manageable chunks. I am
so glad I was
able to be part of the group! " Agnes, Los Angeles, 2004

"Thanks for keeping in touch with me. Your teachings and inspiration
are always with me. I honor you as one of my great teachers" Caroline,
South Carolina, 2003

"Thank you for wise messages you give us during TTC 2003 in Nassau,
Bahamas this
april. Your devotion, commitment, trust to the masters Sivananda/Vishnu-Devananda,
the radiance of your heart touched all of us. Your humor and
honesty, the way you make every story personal but without longing
for the past
or attachments is really amazing to me. These are skills I would
like to
develop." S.Orlov, New York, 2003

"All the workshops and speeches that you told us while I was at the
Yoga Farm had direct influences on me and were helpful and much needed in
my life! In life it is too easy to make wrong choices or be mislead by others
or get into the wrong patterns and your speeches reminded me that we have
to be strong, recognize what is real and decide..... I am beginning to realize
it is a lot about the environment and about making choices while living
in this crazy random worldly world" Bryan, Los Angeles, 2004

"I found the things you said at Satsang extremely helpful in trying
to
figure out the "good and evil" stuff-- especially the part about
how you
planned to fight evil by becoming a social worker and then learned
that
evil cannot be conquered but you are still going to fight it as
a service
to God, not to win, was very useful. I have not figured out how
to
synthesize an answer for myself yet but I feel like I have some
new
material to work with now. I am trying to look at the question
from a
different angle. " Suzan, Davis, 2001

"I learned a lot about yoga, about breathing, about meditation,
about Hindu
beliefs and about myself. I will never forget the experience and
believe me, I came
back a slightly different person. Many of the things that Swami
talked about come
to mind each day. I've taken 2 yoga classes since I've been home
and my breathing
and my awareness of correct form has really helped me get more out
of them." Pat, Sacramento, 2001

"Thank you for a very beneficial weekend at the Farm a couple of
weeks ago when I visited. Before I went to the Ashram, I was
thinking that my teaching of the asanas was getting stale and I
needed some new moves to keep the interest of my students. I ended up realizing
that new moves were not what I need to add-- rather it should be
more of the spiritual part of Yoga." Suzan, Davis, 2001

"A couple of years ago I was taking to Richard Breedon who is in the
Physics Department here at UC Davis. He met Swami Vishnu Devananda in Switzerland
in the 1980s and gave him a tour of a physics lab in Geneva. I mentioned
to Richard how sorry I was that I was never met Swami Vishnu especially
since I have almost always lived in the Sacramento area, very close to the
Farm. I had been reading about gurus for a long time but they were always
dead by the time I learned about them. Richard replied that he had just
visited the Yoga Farm and not to worry because you were just like Swami
Vishnu. At the time something sort of clicked for me because I thought that's
very true judging from the stories I had heard about Swami Vishnu.
For some reason deciding to consider you my teacher made me very happy.
After this last teacher weekend I have decided that you know a lot more
that I do and I am extremely grateful and lucky to be able to study with
you. All of your talks were exactly what I needed to hear. I hear you saying "you
are the medicine," "become the lotus that grows out of the mud," and "the
point of struggle is where growth occurs" over and over in my mind.
I think that the chanting during Satsang on Saturday night will be one of
the happiest moments of my life. Thank you for pushing on to give the positive
thinking lecture on Sunday afternoon. It was very helpful for me and it
reinforced my impression that you are a wonderful teacher who can communicate
to all audiences. The stories of your own early experiences with sadhana
were also very useful to me-- especially the comment that you figured out
most of the important "knowledge" for yourself or in private conversations
with Swami Vishnu. It makes sense to me that it is impossible to understand
the more subtle knowledge until the student can form the question. The contrast
between my energy level before and after the weekend is enormous. I feel
like I have been pumped full of good happy energy and I am trying to hang
onto it.
Om Namah Sivaya
I bow to the God within you.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

"The first impression of the Farm is always so wonderful. A cocoon
place, out of this world. Somehow when you are here, the only thing you
think of is how to make progress on your spiritual path. There is no distraction
and the energy of spirituality and sadhana is pure. I am glad that God and
Guru still allow me to be here." Sita, Canada, 2000

"I was in the Grass Valley TTC in May 2003. Its almost been
a year now. I am happy to say that I have been teaching in my home
and then in a studio that I lease from a martial arts teacher for
the entire past year. As with any training I have taken whether
Massage School or Yoga School I never know what gems will stick
with me and what will leave. The basic Sivananda Class has proven over
and over to me to work successfully for all my classes. I have just started
teaching kids and as long as I stick to the "Sivananda" program
I get great response. I had visions of being able to send the ashram money
in thanks ..." Chris, Mammoth
Lakes, CA, 2004

"I wanted to write and thank you from the bottom of my heart
for the powerful teachings and time at Grass Valley. You gave
much and it has gone very deep. I know I shall always remember
with gratitude...and in time the benefits shall unfold.
I am keeping you and all of it so with me I am surprised you
aren't here! You come in the dreamtime, engaged in some sacred
ritual, or conversing with my soul on it's journey - may that
long continue! " Harika, London, 2002

"Swami Sita really takes a holistic approach towards the
teaching of Yoga and Vedanta. I took my TTC with swamiji and also
a meditation intensive course. She is very dedicated to the teachings
of Swami Vishnu and Master Sivananda and the guru lineage, while
also incorporating new, modern studies in psychology and human
development. This ideal balance between traditional values and
progressive learning create a teaching style that I personally
value as a true asset to this organization." Jason ,

"In my 15 years of enjoying yoga at the Toronto Centre, Val
Morin and Nassau ashrams, I never been so deeply touched as during
this visit to the Yoga Farm...The most valuable thing I leave with
however was some personal time spent with Swami Sita. Her approachability,
warmth, spiritual beauty and depth has opened something in me that
has been waiting to get out. She recognized my real reason for
coming was not weather and food, and offered me a glimpse of that
purpose." Rick,

"I have been connected with the Sivananda Organization for
the past 35 years. I attended Teachers Training course and Advanced
Teachers Training Course with Swami Vishnu in 1976 and 1978 and
travelled to India with him on the first Indian Yaatra pilgrimage
in 1977. For the past ten years, I have been working and studying
with Swami Sitaramananda. I find that her teaching style and deep
integration of the yoga teachings is very reminiscent of Swami
Vishnu's. She has great knowledge, clarity, dedication, and surrender
to master's will to transmit these ancient teachings. I highly
recommend connecting with Swami Sitaramanda for spiritual guidance
and renewal." Tara Durga Devi, Stockton, 2005

"I’m writing to thank you for the meditation course.
Somehow what we read
in books is never the same as direct experience with a teacher.
I don’t
think I was aware of how much I learned until I began to respond
to the
questions on the exam. Even then it wasn’t until I returned
home that I
experienced how life changing your teachings were and are. I realize
that I’ve only stepped a very short way on a path I will
follow for all
my life but even knowing that this path is for me comes as a result
of
the changes I feel within."
