Retreat
Why we would need to retreat
from the world and our own life
Why we would need to pause
and forcefully detach
Because time and time again
We need to remind ourselves
Of what's important
And take a stand for ourselves
Forgetfulness of Self
is Dying while living
and building empire
made of sand!
Save yourself and run away
Take time to do practices
Go deep in silence
Silence is the answer
The Body and Mind are stiff
with so much involvement
It would take time
to relax and melt down
Therefore expect to feel bad
and out of sort in retreats
Adjusting to new modes
of feeling and being
It takes a little time
To forget, empty and slow down
Return things that don't belong to you
To their owner.
Empty your luggage
Make yourself Light
Regain your freedom
and inner joy,
Go back to basic,
You need very little
to be happy...

The Mind
It just takes one second
to think that you are in jail,
While a moment ago
you thought you were on top
of the world.
It just takes one second
for heaven to turn into hell.
Just one switch, the pleasure
turns to pain, unbearable.
This is why it takes so long
to control the second
and prevent the switch
from happening.
Or to learn to switch hell to heaven
and heaven to hell
at will, so you get used to it
and it won't surprise you.
Or best is to escape all together
where there is no second, no minute,
no heaven nor hell,
no pleasure nor pain.
They say: Quit it, or it quits you!

Karma
You acted out what you know best,
you didn't even know that what you know best
is exactly what hides you from knowing!
You acted out what you know best
and felt happy that what you know
best has become better.
You didn't know that what you know
has entangled you more in not knowing!
The ties of karma.
Everyone bind oneself with their own will.
Better not to know
or at least not to know best.
Leave a hint of doubt
a doorway
so God can come
and pull you out
from a place of too much knowing.
The one that knows, knows not.
The one that knows not...knows

Actionlessness
In Yoga, the most difficult thing
is to relax
Relax body, mind and spirit
and remain who you are.
How to be the witness
Not involving in action
we just first have to slow down
Slow down and relax
Breathing is action
Thinking is action
Liking is action
Living is action
It catches you
and swirls you around
spending so much energy
doing this and that
The mind is scheming
what to eat, what to do
what's the past, what' the future
It's not just action ..but a real battlefiled!
It's only by slowing down
and letting go of desires
that we can feel
worth it..
In other words, try to nurture
the calmness, the witness
the contemplative present
the inner heart's song
Learn to say no to the mind
that likes complications
and not simplicity
just breathe
Relax and breathe
Be quiet
It's all there
Right now!

Life Labyrinth
Life is like a labyrinth
It twists and turns
and makes you feel
Impatient and lost
And yet it will get you there
Just have to go
Forward
And trust the path
There is one entry
and only one exit
that is the same as
the entry
If you get yourself into this mess
you have to get out
by the same way
you get yourself in
There is only one solution
that solves the problem
of life...one truth
that will set you free
Waling ahead is the only choice
It will bring you close
to the Center
and yet not inside
Until it's time
you find yourself face to face
with God, Your Self
in the Center.
A glimpse of Clarity
a touch with Eternity
A warm embrace with Love
and Truth
And again Life takes you
in its twists and turns
But this time
You are awake.
And your path will set your free!
Just walk!

It is never what you expect
Don't look down at others
and have expectations
Because you will find yourself
Below your own mark
One thing is for sure
Life is not a straight line
But an up and down
journey
You will do what you thought
you never would
You will say what you never
would heard yourself saying
And yet it's progress
It's the twists and turns of Maya
You just have to surrender
and accept.
Thi is the only way
trust that somehow
It will all works out
for yourself and others
Something will remain
the same no matter what
in all these behaviours
and talks
Something beyond
the good and the bad
the likes and dislikes
the dramas and the plays
This is why it is said
try to see God in yourself
and others, no matter what
your own expectation.
Because it is all there at once
It's an illusion to think
that it's at any time different
than what it is
We are working hard
to straighten out the maya
which can never be
straightened out
Just have to go with it
and somehow at due time
It would disappear
like magic!

Refugees
We are all refugees
Fleeing our homelands
In exile
All in the same boat
And yet we still quarrel
On which side of the boat
To sit
and which direction or land
We will end up
Wherever it leads
We will still be lost
As we will never feel home
If home is not really home
Just remember that home
Is not in national boundaries
Or cultural comforts
Which are changing realities
But it is found
When we truly accept
To be ever in exile.

Bhoga
My Guru brought Yoga
To the land of Bhoga,
Where things are abundant
And all available at button's touch.
He taught simplicity in the land of plenty
Renunciation in consumerism's kingdom,
Where all live by the motto "more is better",
And the body, its comforts, its desires are law!
My Guru brought Yoga
to the land of Bhoga,
Where greed and lust are kings,
and instant gratification a mode of living.
He taught self discipline as a way to freedom;
Self reliance as a remedy to boredom;
Tradition and respect, collective well being,
As opposed to "me " and "mine" and egoistic ambitions.
My Guru brought Yoga
to the land of Bhoga,
Where fast food, fast friendship, fast commitment,
Make human heart outside fat, and inside empty.
He taught love, kinship and divine feelings
To these empty hearts and frozen brains,
Whose fast lanes and info highways
Make automats of men, and computers of humans.
My Guru brought Yoga
to the land of Bhoga,
And proved by his own life that vairagya,
Sadhana and true Karma Yoga
Can fabricate Yogis out of Bhogis,
Or at least help them regain sanity and harmony
By a balanced lifestyle, universal outlook and regard for Nature!
This is what the Maha Yogi did
For almost fifty years
in the land of Bhoga!
* bhoga= sensual enjoyment
yoga= path of self discipline

" The book Darshan is "magnifique" and is a source of inspiration
for me. The poems are so good, the writing simple, direct and poetic.
The meaning is strong and goes right to the point without pretention". Louise,
